Say Cheese!!!! September 28, 2010

A few years ago I decided I had to have a photo booth at my wedding. It was one of those nonnegotiable items. Fast forward at least two years and I stumbled upon a Clue inspired photo session at the wedding of two quite artistic souls. It seems someone very smart has taken the idea of a photo booth and expanded it to include themes, backdrops, props, and a whole lot more fun. Some of my favorite scenes from a photo booth.

Bedford Springs Resort September 20, 2010

I was lucky enough to enjoy a spa day at Bedford Springs Resort this past Saturday.  I won’t lie and say I have many spas to compare this one to but anywhere where I can sit in an oversized chaise lounge, drink wine, and get a massage is HEAVEN.  I was also lucky enough to crash two weddings….I mean admire two weddings 🙂 I wouldn’t mind planning a wedding at Bedford myself!

Below are photos from Bellissima Photography of one of Bedford’s beautiful weddings.

Talk about a tub you want to spend time in! If you are lucky enough to enjoy the spa be sure to take one of the relaxing bath/massage options.

I’m a sucker for a rope swing!

The woodland theme was a perfect counterpoint to the luxurious nature of the hotel. The combination looks wonderful!

South Carolina – Updated! September 17, 2010

A while back I researched homegrown honeymoon sites. I seem to be coming across more and more couples that are planning stateside honeymoons and as a vacation-advocate I wanted to look at some locations for myself.  I was so pleased to come across a destination wedding that took place at one of my beach picks – The Inn at Palmetto Bluff. Not only am I obsessed with the location, the couple, the love story, I am quickly becoming obsessed with Christian Oth photography.

The chapel is part of the resort making it a perfect destination wedding location. Your guests can stay, play, and party at the inn!

Another great plus? Cottage rental comes with a bike! What a great way to get from the ceremony to the reception!

I love the inspiration real weddings can provide. Why not steal a few ideas from past brides? I stumbled upon this beautiful winter wedding which took place right here in Western PA and began reevaluating my stance on winter weddings (I really hate being cold).  Seriously, who wouldn’t want to have a reception that looks like this?

The very talented Christian Oth captured these Ligonier, PA nuptials.  Based out of NYC his portfolio is absolutely inspirational!

I’ve always imagined having my country-chic wedding in Nashville but the more I see real weddings in Pittsburgh the more I realize this city has to offer.  I stumbled upon Joey Kennedy Photography (I’m not even sure how!) and was instantly impressed with how they captured the most important moments of the big day. I love how uniquely they photograph couples rings!
